Vinyasa, from the Sanskrit "to place in a special way" aligns a sequences of poses together with the breath in order to experience a continuous flow of energy.
Vin to Yin
Vin to Yin, also know as Yin/Yang yoga, is a practice that balances the traditional Yang yoga (Ashtanga and Hatha) with the slow-paced Yin yoga. Starting the practice off with the Yang energy-masculine, dynamic, warming-and easing into the Yin energy-a feminine, passive, and cooling energy.
Yin yoga
Yin yoga is a restorative practice where the poses are held for a longer period of time-typically three to five minutes-in order to target the connective tissues rather than focusing on dynamic, muscular work.
